Bridal and Day Make-up

This course is designed for participants who wish to gain practical and technical skills to work as a professional photographic make-up artist for weddings, and in a studio or outdoor environment. Perfect for those wishing to branch out from the beauty industry, or those curious in the make-up industry, but unsure if they would like to commit to a full time study. This course will enable you to choose your own direction and commitment to the make-up industry.

Subjects covered

Week One: Workplace Procedures, Steps to balance, Foundations (practical), Organise & Maintain Work Area & Highlighting & Shading

Week Two: Colour Theory, Colour Corrective Concealer & Powders, Foundations (practical & theory) Skin Care & Cleansing, Eye Shapes (theory)

Week Three: Eyes (practical part 1), Eyes (practical part 2), Eye Shapes, Eye Liner & Eyebrows

Week Four: Lips & Cheeks, Remedial Camouflage, Sheer Beauty, Smokey Eyes

Week Five: Day make-up converted to evening make-up, Bridal Make-up

Week Six: Mature Make-up, Colour Photography, Black & White Photography

Classes will run on a Saturday over 6 consecutive weeks Or Sundays for 6 consecutive weeks between 10am - 4pm
With a ½ hour break.

** A minimum of 5 students are required for this course to run. Please take note that if the minimum amount of students are not reached to run the course you will automatically roll over to the next intake.

Materials
Students will be required to purchase a 21 piece professional brush roll $ 300.00 + GST (Total $330.00)

All other materials / products will be supplied by CJMD.

Models

We advise you bring a model to all lessons if you can. As it is a short course by bringing in models it gives you more time to do make up rather than sitting there and being a model yourself. A mature model (+55) will be required on the last day of class.

Course cost
The total course cost is $990.00 + GST. A deposit of $ 500.00 is required to be paid two weeks prior to course start date
Payment plan includes surcharge of 20%
$ 118.00 per week (over 6 weeks)
